| Ladies and gents, I present you with a long overdue web entry from yours truly. It will be brief.
So tonight I watched Brokeback Mountain (with Justin E, Justin S,
Everett, Jessica, and Ryan. Later joined by Kria and Franciesca for
grub), and let me tell you something, it is worth watching. The
cinematography was beautifully captured. I know a lot of people would
have to say something about the story but I thought if they did it any
other way it would not have been what it was. But, don't listen to me,
see it for yourself. I am horrible at describing films.
After the movie we went to Roxys at about 1am and it was still pretty
busy. Franciesca announced to everyone in the restaurant that it was my
birthday today and told everyone to sing to me. No one has ever done
that for me. Kinda embarassing and cool at the same time.
So when we walked back to the car, we encountered a bike gang at 2 in
the morning. This wasn't a normal bike gang, this was a gang of full
grown men riding little kiddy bikes. One of the strangest things to see
at this time.
All in all I had a good night and am glad i left the dorms.

| Tonight I didn't go see a show, I saw a performance close to perfection. It was simply amazing and moving. To start off the night we had a string quartet (but so much more), Amina play. They have worked with Sigur Ros on their albums. They looked like a "mother/daughter team effort" as Brittney would say. Their instruments would vary from xylophones, cellos, violins, samples, one of them even used glasses of water, and better yet, a SAW. It was pretty entertaining but I was eagerly anticipating the band i payed to see. After a brief intermission and pee pee time for me, it was TIME. The curtain was dropped, the fog machines were flowing and out came the band, and what may be the most intense light show i've ever witnessed. They opened up with a new song, the lights that flashed onto to the thin curtain made everyone a sillhouette. The drummer bangs the fuck out of his drums. Jonsi has incredible range in his vocals, he sounded flawless. He even sang into his guitar at one point. Yea, I just pretty much summed up my night of excitement. I wish they would have done an encore of "Staralfur", but all in all, it was spectacular.
I don't remember the exact set list but here are the songs they played: -3 New Songs -Svefn-G-Englar -Ny Battery -Olsen Olsen -Viorar vel til Loftarasa -( ) 1 (during this song some crazy lady started doing a stupid dance and Jonsi started to laugh, bitch ruined some of the song) -( ) 4 -( ) 8 ( WHAT A WAY TO END A SET) -I might have missed like a song or two, but they played for over 2 hours.
Aren't you glad i told you about them Brittney? Haha.
Truly a memorable night.

| LATE UPDATE.
Oi, Europe was amazing; the food was great, the women were beautiful, and the fashion is leap years ahead of us. Took a ton of pictures, as I couldn't resist capturing just about everything. Let's see, I went from Rome to Athens; higlights were Pompei, Sistine Chapel, Olympia, Colliseum, Turkey, and to top it all of we had a cruise in which we sailed to several Greek islands; my favorite being Mykonos. It was truly a surreal experience.
| work was so awesome today. some fucktard came in staring at the menu for a really long time, and as i proceeded to watch him do this, he begins to stare at me and all the other co-workers. then he asked if he could order anything from the menu, more staring at the menu and us. he asked once again if he could order anything from the menu, then he ask if we had pork chops, the pork menu was in his face. now i'm thinking either a) this fucker can't read b) this guy is drunk as fuck c) both and is a little off. he waits for his food and i look at him like hes stupid and he asks me "what?", i didn't even say anything, he just looked clueless the whole time like "huh".
yay for dumbasses. | | |
